FAQ’s
1) How do I get a price quote?
Answer 1: Send us your zip code and the Width x Height x Depth by Email and we’ll send you a price quote for all 4 models.
Answer 2: Setup an appointment and we can measure and give you a price quote. A deductible fee is due depending on your location. The fee is deductible if you place an order.
Note: We do not give quotes over the phone only thru email. Depending on location there is a minimum quantity to order due to distance or traffic and parking.
2) Question: Do we provide full service?
Answer: Yes, we can measure, build the custom radiator covers, deliver and install.
3) Question: Does wood hold up to the heat of radiators?
Answer: Yes it can withstand the heat. The wood only feels warm to the touch and will not burn.
4) Question: What models can be made to recessed cover?
Answer: All model can be made for the cast iron radiators or in-wall radiators.
5) Question: What does installation cover?
Answer: Installation done onsite, involves tracing your base boards on to the custom radiator cover and then cutout the traced part for a flush fit to the wall. If needed securing the radiator cover to the wall, this is usually needed for in-wall / recessed radiators.
6) Question: What finish can be applied to the radiator covers?
Answer: The covers are sanded then 4 coats of paint are applied with sanding in between each coat. The inside of the cover has one coat of paint. Benjamin Moore Semi-Gloss White is the color used the most. The customer can choose the color / sheen of their choice. Staining is also available. All pieces are stained before building the custom radiator cover for an additional charge.
7) Question: What kind of wood do you use to build the radiator covers?
Answer: We use premium wood that is knot free. Also use Red Oak if requested.
8) Question: Do you use MDF or Particle wood?
Answer: We do not use any type of compressed particle wood, we only use real solid wood boards.
9) Question: How do I start an order?
Answer: To get your order started we require a deposit up front then the remaining balance is due at pickup or delivery/Installation.
10) Question: What does installation cover?
Answer: Installation involves 2 parts. First, tracing your base boards on to the radiator cover and cutting it our. Second, mounting the radiator cover to the wall if needed.
11) Question: How log does it take to complete my order
Answer: Build time for most orders is about 21 days.
