Just completed installation of Mission Model B radiator cover for a bedroom and a living room in Jackson Height Queens, NY. The old radiators where replaced with new modern radiators and recessed into the wall. The customer was concerned for their child’s safety. Their toddler started walking and was at risk of touching the hot radiators. Installing new wood radiator covers would protect from a burn and also added an instant improvement that is in line with the apartments renovations and beautiful farm doors.
We build 2 custom radiator covers Mission Model B and finished them with Benjamin Moore Alabaster OC-129 Satin Finish. Installation took 2 hours to complete. Flush installation makes the wooden radiator covers fit perfectly for that space. to secure it we use a french cleat so that it is easy to remove when needed.
Their new wood radiator covers came out great. The customer was over joyed with the product and service.

On a personal note for those looking for a radiator cover:
I like doing the best possible job I can and explain to the customer why something might not look as flush as possible. For this there are many reasons, a wall can be bowed out or bowed in, some times the plaster is caked in on a slop. Floors or window sills are not level but we account for these and more issues during installation. That is why we take 30 to 60 minutes to install each radiator cover and secure them for the best look and fit possible.
We have all the insurances required to work in apartments. We have General liability, workers comp and Umbrella insurance. Let us know if you have any question.
